On the ground teamwork.

At Neighborhood Churches, mission teams play a vital role in expanding the reach of the gospel across the cities and neighborhoods of New England. After intentional training and coaching, visiting teams serve alongside us in places where we are actively praying, building relationships, and preparing the ground for new church plants.

These trips are not vacations or poverty tourism—they are hands-in-the-soil ministry. Teams step directly into the life of a neighborhood, helping meet real needs, forming meaningful relationships, and sharing the hope of the gospel in communities that are often overlooked and spiritually underserved.

Throughout the year, we host several types of mission teams, including Evangelism Teams, Kids Camps, Service Projects, and Construction Teams. From airport pickup to airport return, these trips are all-inclusive trips including lodging, meals, and transportation. Each team strengthens the work already happening on the ground while helping cultivate the relationships and gospel presence needed for new churches to take root.

We believe the future of gospel renewal in New England will come through faithful churches planted in ordinary neighborhoods. Mission teams play a key role in helping make that vision a reality.

  • KIds Camps

    Our communities are bursting with kids. Mission teams play an important role in helping reach children and families through neighborhood Kids Camps. Visiting teams partner with our churches to host fun, welcoming camps that include games, music, sports, crafts, and clear gospel teaching. These camps create natural opportunities to build relationships with children and their families while sharing the hope of Jesus in neighborhoods where many kids have little connection to a local church. Through these simple but meaningful gatherings, seeds of the gospel are planted and new relationships are formed that help lay the groundwork for healthy churches to grow in the community.

  • Service Project

    Mission teams can serve our communities through practical neighborhood service projects. We call this “Love and Good Works.” Teams work alongside local leaders to care for the places we live by cleaning streets, helping with yard work, and assisting neighbors who may need an extra hand. These simple acts of service demonstrate the love of Christ in tangible ways while opening doors for conversation and relationship. As teams engage the neighborhood, they help build trust, strengthen community ties, and create natural opportunities to share the hope of the gospel.

  • Construction Team

    We always have opportunities for skilled Construction Teams! These teams help meet practical needs we could not accomplish on our own. These teams assist with both small and large projects—repairing and renovating church buildings, improving ministry spaces, and helping with needed work on the homes of church members and neighbors. Their skills, time, and willingness to serve allow important projects to move forward that would otherwise take years to complete. Through these efforts, mission teams not only strengthen the physical spaces where ministry happens but also tangibly demonstrate the love and generosity of Christ to the communities we serve.

  • Evangelism Team

    We love our neighbors! Mission teams help us engage our neighborhoods through door-to-door evangelism and prayer. After receiving simple training and encouragement, teams walk the streets of the neighborhoods we serve, introducing themselves, offering prayer, and sharing the hope of the gospel with those they meet. These conversations often open the door to meaningful relationships and ongoing ministry, helping us learn the needs of the community while pointing people to Christ. Through this simple but faithful presence, mission teams help us bring the message of the gospel directly to our neighbors.
